Privacy Policy

What we collect

This site collects minimal data. We do not require registration or login. We do not sell data to third parties.

Location

If you allow location access, your browser's geolocation API is used to determine your state so we can show relevant RSV activity levels. Your coordinates are used only to reverse-geocode a state code — they are not stored on our servers. The 2-letter state code may be cached in your browser's local storage so we don't need to ask again on your next visit. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or entering a different state manually.

Usage analytics

We may collect anonymized page visit data (state, session ID, page URL) via our Cloudflare Worker infrastructure. This data is used to understand which states drive traffic and to improve the site. No personally identifiable information is included.

Email (waitlist)

If you join the RSV alerts waitlist, your email address is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. It is used only to send RSV season alerts when that feature launches. We do not share email addresses with third parties. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Third-party services

This site uses the following third-party services:

Google Fonts — loads Source Serif 4 and Inter typefaces. Google may log the font request.
Amazon Associates — affiliate links to Amazon. If you click and purchase, Amazon may set cookies per their privacy policy.
Cloudflare — hosts the site and processes requests. Cloudflare may log IP addresses and request metadata per their privacy policy.
CDC / US Government APIs — RSV data is sourced from CDC HHS Protect. No user data is sent to the CDC.

Cookies

This site sets a single first-party cookie (__isityet_dev) used only for internal development/testing purposes. Standard browser session data may be set by third-party services listed above.

Children's privacy

This site is operated for adults seeking information about child health. It does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
